Was wondering if anyone has one and if so did it help? My doctor gave me a script for one and he also wants to do a bone scan for both my arms because I told him about over usage of my left arm.
Has anyone ever had a bone scan???
This test can show arthritis before a normal xray.

I've never had a bone scan, but I have had a TENS unit. I actually found it quite useful in the beginning. It was funny because for some reason it actually made me so relaxed that I would fall asleep. That was for about the first week or so. Then I was able to use it and carry on throughout the day without meds. Which was nice. However, slowly your body becomes adjusted to the TENS and you end up having to increase the energy for it to work. And then it didn't work at all. I just ended up staying in pain. This took, overall, about three months.
Maybe someone else has had better results.
I have had a bone scan. It is a nuclear scanning test.
They will inject some radio active dye into your blood stream.
I had the dye injected and had to wait I believe over 4 hours before they could do the scan.

If I remember correctly, you lay still and ther machine circles around you. It is simplier than a MRI IMO.
I use a tens unit for my back. I think it works well for temporary pain relief. I have had one since March 2006. WC furnished the tens unit and the pads. I order pads and batteries on a bi-monthly basis.
I've had CT scans with injections & Pet Scans, don't know if the a bone scan is different.
The Pet Scan was different and lengthy.
I do use a tens unit and get relief with the neck problems, it keeps me out of the ER.
From what I have read about bone scans is it will show stuff days to a month before a regular x-ray. My orthopedic thinks I have arthritis, the PM doctor said if I did this would show up on the bone scan.
When I went to the pm today he had my info on his screen I took liberty to read it. He mentioned that I have pour circulation in my right injured hand. My hand is always red or purple sometimes it looks brown.
It is always cold though, even when both hands are cold the right one is always colder
