Hi Still,
I just noticed on a recent thread that you are taking both Lyrica and Neurontin. I thought they were basically the same, but Lyrica is newer. I take Lyrica 450 mg per day, and it is a wonderful medication for nerve pain; at least for me.

lyrica does work very well for nerve pain if you can stay awake long enough to feal anything lol
CC...I know this is addressed to Limbo but wanted to tell you my PM Dr. already told me I can take both . I take Neurontin now. My podiatrist since I have neuropathy has told me the same.
Chris, They are Very Close Meds. I take Neurontin 2400 mg. Per Day for My Crushed Nerve Inflammation, but I still Ended up with Restless Leg at Night, I could Never get My Legs to Stop Aching and needing Adjustment. My PCP told Me that Possibly Lyrica could Help with that, so I Called My PM Dr. and got Approval, and I take 50mg. 3 Times a Day (150mg.) and it Helped the Restless Leg Tremendously!! So even though they are Very Close, and My PM Dr. allows Me 3000 mg. of Neurontin Daily, which is Max. for an Individual, I only take 2400mg., because of the Lyrica. And I don't have too Much Fatigue with it, I have been taking these Meds. for a while, and have become Accustomed to the Side Effects! I Hope that Answered Your Question, and Have a Great Day!!
P.S. Just for Reference, I'll List the Meds. I take Daily just to be able to Function and Walk, it's Amazing that I Only took Diovan for Slight Hypertension before My Injury!!
Methadone 10mg. every 6 Hours.
Morphine 30mg. IR as needed for Breakthrough Pain (Usually 3 Times Daily)
Neurontin 600mg. Twice a Day, 1200mg. at Night
Lyrica 50mg. 3 Times a Day
Promethyzine 50mg. 3 Times Daily (For Nausea)
Atenolol 25mg. Blood Pressure
Lisinopril 5mg. Aid to Atenolol
Andro-Gel Applied to My Shoulders 5mg. Daily (As My Body Stopped Producing Testosterone.)
Simvistatin 40mg. for Cholesterol
Spariva Inhaler for COPD
Primatene Mist as Needed for the COPD
Valium 10mg. at Bedtime
I Believe that's it, if I Missed Anything I will Update Later!!
I currently take 450 of Lyrica each day along with my narcotic cocktail. I also have been taken it for a while and I have few side effects. My biggest side effect is being tired and exhausted from doing nothing.
I take Lyrica 150 mg twice a day. It makes me want to eat. I try very hard not to gain weight. I took Lyrica with my Trazadone, which the trazadone is for sleep. I had nightmares, so I don't take them together.
I also take Xana and Ambiean for sleep. I do not sleep unless I take something. The pain wakes me up. This is a big problem for me.
Still In Limbo with the meds you take does it effect your ability to drive?
I ask because that is one of the issues I have with the meds I take.
I have a son with a serious medical condition and his life depends on me being able to drive.
I live in the country and can't wait for an ambulance when things go bad.
I take a "pot load" of meds and I drive. Your body will adjust to the meds. I get tired easily but I drink a pop as I drive and I am fine.
I also live in the country. They pipe sunshine back here where my house is.
I think sometimes mind over matter has to kick in. Only you can judge whether you are impaired or not but it will get better with time.
I didn't drive at first with the lyrica, but once my body adjusted to it, I was fine. I am tired all the time, but force myself to get up around the same time everyday and do my home therapy.

Thank you Still, and everyone else for your replies. Learned something today.
