I just got a call from my mother, it appears that my nephew was tested positive . And my 2 nieces have been exposed over the weekend and are running high temps.. All of our family has been exposed and I pray no one else catches it.. Our schools up here are almost all shut down in our area, except for of course ours. The school has been running at half attendence for the past week.. We are pulling our son out untill this bug passes........
Good luck Bronco......I pray that your family gets well. It is so scarey and I keep hearing about the deaths of 12 yr. olds in the news. You are best to do what you say you are doing and that is to keep your kid home right now till you can feel safe to send him back.

Bronco- plenty of liquids, rest and tynenol.
Bronco all 3 of mine have had it...fairly mild as flus go unless you have other medical problems to go with it...2 were up and at em within 48 hrs the third has asthma and it was harder on her.....but easier than a normal flu for all 3....all 3 of mine are healthy so I wasnt worried.....trick is to let them have the fever till it goes over 102 lots of liquids and stay close to the toilet....as tummy upsets are really the norm for this flu....your body needs the fever to burn out the virus so no tylnol till 102 or better

My 2 grandsons have it and they are away on vacation. I think this is one vacation they won't forget. They are trying their hardest to keep the boys away from the baby, but that's pretty impossible and the doctor said she's already been exposed.
So, we'll just wait and see.
