Hello, I have been going through some turmoil lately.

I did not know i did not need injury date to claim. Obviously this happened at work, you dont blow out disks being a dad.

Need to know how to start process even though all is done and paid for. Losing my home because I have not worked in 8 months please help.

What state?
because of the delay it could be a while before benefits are started.
you will need to notify your prior employer. do it in writing and keep a copy.
you will need a medical opinion that connects your condition and need for surgery to your prior employment.
filing for benefits after you have left the employment often results in litigation.
you can get more specific information once your state is known.
you need detailed information on how your state handles work comp claims.
I am from Wisconsin My former employer let me go after finding out about the surgery. They asked me to keep them update, so I was. Then I let them know about the surgery, and they let let me go "Due to the economic situation we do not foresee calling back anyone soon" They have called back 75 out of the Hundred guys. Do i contact their Work Comp Company???? A Rep. from Feingolds Office informed me this is the Legal and right thing to do. I will be watching this post all day this week. Thank You billajedi
yes you can go that way as well. once you have they will contact the employer.
