Here is the situation: I am a federally-employed nurse. A patient bit me and as a result I have a small scar on my upper arm. I filed the paperwork the night it happened. It is 1 year later and I still have a scar. Be it minor, it still bothers me. What ar ethe implications to this?

ask for a consult with a plastic surgeon
hello,
Its amazing that a patient bit you on your upper arm and you got a scar.If I would have been to your place I would have slaped that patient.I hope that your injury and scar..
thank you!!
Since your only recourse is via the federal workers compensation system you might ask for an evaluation for permanent impairment. While I do not know if the Federal System relies on the AMA Guides to Impairment I can tell you that if they do, a minor scar not involving the face or substantially disfiguring is generally not compensated.
The question is, what are you looking for, and wishing to obtain now?
