What is the difference between a work related injury, that is an injury claimed that can be pin pointed to a specific date and time while on the job and an industrial injury? That seems to be a bone of contention in my case and why it remains denied pending an AME decision in 4 months.
A work related injury is the same as an industrial injury.
what you are describing seems to be the difference between a specific injury and a cummlative injury.
one is due to a specific event and the other to small incremental events over a period of time.

ok, thank you, I was just repeating what was stated in a letter from my lawyer. I am just confused then. Is it possible that a unknown pre-existing condition was brought to light, exacerbated, made worse , etc by an incident occurring during the job? Is this then still work related since there were no problems performing job duties until the specific date, time of the known incident?
Yes, still work related if your physician states causal relationship to job duties or exposure. Of course the other side gets their day in court too. State rules vary on the specifics.
