I am an owner of small lawn care company in georgia. I have no employees and i do not subcontract. Do I need workers comp and if so what is the georgia statue that states if i can elect coverage. Some banks want me to carry E & O and workers comp. some companies will allow me to skip the workers comp if i provide them with the statue? help please.

Every employer, individual, firm, association, or corporation, regularly employing three or more persons, part-time or full-time, shall provide workers' compensation insurance coverage. Exempted officers of corporations or exempted members of limited liability companies shall not reduce the number of employees for this purpose.

a licensed insurance broker in your community should be able to provide you with several choices.
You are a landscaper, and they want E&O? Are they serious? Are they worried you'll forget to trim a hedge? Call an agent and tell them you want a BOP (Business Owners policy). Based on your description, that should provide all the coverage you need.
