Got a phone call earlier and my niece is in NICU.

She works as a Sheriff Deputy and was processing inmates when she passed out. She was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

An investigation is underway as to what happened. Don't know if she hit her head when she fell and the inmates refuse to give a statement.

The unit she is in is Neurological ICU, Testing was done today and we wait results.

She was awake earlier and said her head hurts.

Doctors think my niece had a stroke. The 1st MRI & CT scan were normal but more scans & test will be given tomorrow.

She has been unable to move one side of her body. But tonight did have some movement in one of her hands.

When my niece passed out she was in a room with other law enforcement and EMTs & inmates. She received medical care right away.

saying my prayers Bummer, I am sure someone is listening to all them from everyone.

We will pray right now for her. Helping right there is good but sometimes the damage has been done if it was a stroke. We will also keep her in our prayer

Prayers my friend for your niece and you. So young to have a stroke, hopefully she'll make a full recovery. Grateful that she had medical people around her when she passed out.
