hey people I had my leg crushed at work by a 1000 lb steel beam. my 3rd party is another const. on the same job.my lawyer is saying my case is being hurt because of my past tax returns. i hadn't worked much for 3 year before i got hurt. Doctor have told me that my knee will never bend & my ankle the same. So i'm crippled for life. i'm 47 [was 45 when i got hurt]. ???? are HOW MUCH CAN WORKCOMP GET BACK FOR MEDICAL BILLS ? IF I SETTLE COMP BEFORE 3RD PARTY SUIT WILL COMP WAIT TILL THAT IS DONE BEFORE THEY PAY ? IS THERE A LIMIT ON MONEY WORKCOMP HAS TO PAY ?

generally comp is able to recoup all their costs.
it's unusual for comp to settle prior to 3rd party.
if they do the amount is significantly less.
no limit.

OK THANKS 1171 WORKCOMP IN FL. HAS A 2 YEAR CAP ON PAYCHECKS . WHAT CAN I DO TO KEEP A CHECK COMING WHEN THAT 2 YEARS IS UP ? I HAVE 4 MONTHS TO GO THEN I WILL LOSS EVERYTHING .
