Now I'm curious!

How was your flight?
Admin- hope the firemen are not a indication of what happened on your flight.
admin...I sure hope this was not your flight and your own personal pic's because if they were, I don't think you had a pleasant flight, on the other hand, thank God you are here to tell us about it. RNvic has the saying that you needed..."may God send angels to hold YOU in his arms." My prayers will be with you on your flights.... Red
I hope this wasn't your flight out of Philly.
Unfortunately it was. About 45 minutes before we reached Tampa the plane filled with the smell of something burning. We were diverted to Orlando for an emegency landing. It was certainly a wild and wooly descent - steep and fast with lots if exciting turns!

They got us transferred to another plane, and the quick flight to Tampa was not much better. We landed in a severe thunderstorm, and the plane was really being buffeted
by winds. They closed the airport right after we landed, and we had to wait for our luggage because they could not unload them with the lightning.
Our pilot earned his pay on that one.

I am not a nervous flyer by any stretch of the imagination, but this one rattled me.

Thanks for your kind thoughts. I'm back on a plane Monday so I'll take those with me. Smile
ahhhhhhhhhh Admin I am sorry you had a bad flight...I remember when going to Germany the first time there was a big BOOOOOOOM my husband who flew in aircraft for the military said there went an engine...The pilot came on said that the sewardess had blown up a micro wave and we had to divert I smirked at my honey see you dont know everything...felt real smug till we landed in dulles national with firetrucks and ambulance all around the landing strip..and then they admited they had blown an engine...it turned out real nice tho cuz they put some of us on sight seeing helocopters and we toured all the way to NY city to include a night fly by of the statue of liberty...it was awesome...then on to a huge plane that flew us to Shannon Ireland we got to deplane but couldnt leave the room.....we had made to good a time and couldnt land in Germany before 6 am so we spent an hour in Shannon airport.....such a shame cuz Ireland was a country I wanted to go to and they wouldnt let us leave the waiting room.......Good luck Monday
Good Grief, If something like that happened to me ,I am not sure I would fly again. But then I have been on a few bad flights, one from Florida Via Atlanta, another from Ohare to Vegas, Never had smoke, Now that would be scary. Glad all turned out well and you are safe............
I don't think I would ever fly again. ADMIN..I am a nervous flyer also. Did you fly either US AIR or United??? They had a big article on the news about them both skipping some safety precautions and both airlines were fined heavily.
Glad you made it through the storm Admin. I would have been praying, but probably would have pee'd my pants too! Tongue What was going thru your mind?
