Hello, I am in North Carolina..I don't know what an FCE is.I am going to the doctor Tuesday for a 5 week post op check for a back op. Also how long does it take to get back to normal after a MLD L3 L4

A FCE is a Functional Capacity Examination.
It is used to determine the maximal workload a person can safely perform on a daily basis with their present injury. It is a 1-2 day test depending on the test administered. It is either used for work placement or to determine disability status.

How long after a back op do you think I will have a FCE please...

You will need to be a little more specific. What kind of back surgery?????

There is really no way to answer that question. There are so many variables involved. I had a Anterior T12 Corpectomy with metal fixation and a fusion.
It was over 2 years before I was released to take a FCE but .......
