Thanks in advance for any help on this issue. I was called by an Attorney today and told that my Employer has requested Mediation for a possible settlement offer. My question is during my deposition my Attorney mentioned I will need a Set-a-side trust account? I have no idea what he means by this can anyone help me? Based on my Physicians recommendation, as well as, they’re DR. state that I will need more surgeries, continued care, and medications. Will they cont. to pay or will the trust? And how do they figure numbers based on that? My Mediation is in a few weeks
are you on SSDI? as this may be a medicare set aside....please can you give us a bit more info and then the great people on this site can help you better...
Your Attorney is talking about a Medicare setaside. This is money setaside to pay for your work related injuries. Certain criteria has to be met for a MSA to happen but obviously you meet this .

The MSA amount is based on a life span and what you are expected to need medical and prescription wise over your life span Here are some websites to read;

Knowledge is power; Become knowledgeable of your states laws and make sure you have a WC Attorney that knows his "stuff".

Please do, thank you.
