California: Are you kidding me? I had transportation arranged to take me to my FCE 35+ miles from my home. It took 3 hrs to get there because they picked up other patients and transported them to other places before getting me to my destination. Then it took another 30 minutes until the test. I had not taken my meds so that long ride had increased my pain in my low back causing spasms. They did not even ask if I took my meds or ask my beginning pain level or monitor anything. They took hand grasp strength, I put a few pegs in some holes, I squatted once, I bent over a couple of times, I lifted an empty wooden crate. Mind you I did not do the above activities very well related to the pain and spasms, but that was the exam. Are you kidding me? What can that show? How does that relate to what I can do or cannot do? Then I had to wait another 30 minutes for my transportation and it took another 3 hrs to get home riding in the van picking up and dropping off other patients first, so I need not tell you how my pain was. How humiliating to have to go through this and still not receive any compensation for lost wages. Supposedly the WC insurance is to start sending me benefits but as of yet none. Forgot to mention that I had to put up with the van driver's pit bull crawling all over me on the way home too.

That is ridiculous unless you are wheel chair bound OR they come to a Quick conclusion you are PTD.
I spent 30 minutes with the PT going over my pain, him touching parts of my back to see if it was tender from 2 diffferent angles, legs lift and situations to see if he could catch me faking and a consultation but I am in Louisiana.

My last FCE was a 2 day FCE.
Did you request for a copy of the results? You should if you did not.

See posts in previous threads on FCE's.
The transportation and later the dog, can of been a set-up just to see how you and the other patients do react and to watch and see if you or them do something you should not be doing. The dog, was only the distraction, to keep all your minds off the thought of being monitored.
think I would fuss a bit about the dog to the IC...pit bulls scare me

I definitely was expecting a more indepth, intense test so I do not know what to expect now. I notified my attorney, but have not received a response yet.
