back in 02,a warehouse worker asked me to check a pump, the pump had tolulene in it,,i asked if it was flushed out and told it was,
i started to dismantal the pump ans was overcome with tolulene fumes, almost knocked me out,i crawled away to my desk, about 20 feet away, while sitting there, getting some air,i decided to catch up on pm's,,when i turned on the pc,i noticed i could only see half of it,,i went to my supervisor,in turn to a safety super and he took me to the hospital,,the nurse took the info, she didn't know how to spell tolulene, lol,,the doc's was checking my eyes,,i told him i inhaled the stuff,he sent back to work,,well,at work,,i still felt dizzy, and they sent me home for 4 days,,while at home,,i was thinking that my glasses where bad,,well,i was told i suffered a stroke.in turn loss off sight.went back to work 3 months later,,after extensive tests and meds,,i still have 30% vision loss in both eyes,,i get sever migrains and small headacks,,i asked for a copy of the accident reprot,,was told there was no accident.
after getting a lawyer, and many years later,,they're trying to settle,my lawyer said i would be lucky to 10 grand,
what do you ppl here think,,should i get a hearing and state my case,,or settle ?
if I trusted my lawyer I'd settle,
