well the kids are back in school, i guess it's time for me to go too. i went up to the dept. of labor and talked to their vocational counselor. i'm eligible for their program for those with permanent disabilities. so i filled out my application for school, applied for financial aid, sent off for my transcripts.....and now i wait. i'm excited, the councelor said even if my financial aid is denied they would cover my expenses including books. now if i could get my short term disability approved i can make it. i go to court for wc on oct 27.
Great news on going back to school!
I think one thing that has helped me staying positive is taking classes at the the local college while injured, up until this last year.
All the classes I have taken have been online courses, I can sit at my home computer and do my course work.
Last year the carpal tunnel started and I'm unable to continue with school for now.
My daughter started her 1st year of college, and voc rehab paid for all of her books.
Along with a scholarship, and the tuition benefit I receive from the college for my years of employment, we paid almost nothing for her 1st semester of school.
