Stephanie,

You seem to be a new member so "WELCOME" to our family oriented forum. We all wish you a victory with your case. I will be praying for you. Take care and God Bless!

Cajun Hugsssss,
MJC

Good morning all and welcome Stephanie. Prayers will be said for you. I am wishing you the best.

MJC...I was lucky enough to get an appt. with the counselor on August 1st. It's the first time we can accomodate each other. I think it will help. I slept a pretty straight 16 hours from 3:00 yesterday afternoon until 7:30 this morning. Much needed as you know what sleep deprivation does to us.Shy

Pied.....thank you . You're so right. It's an accumumlation of things that sets us up for depression, fear, and many a sleepless night. That was my feeling when i got the news. "Oh no!! the IC can appeal this so it's not over yet" and that was after my mind swirling in all sorts of positive directions as to what I could and would do now to help myself. All it really means is that things will be held up a little longer. I don't even know if they'll appeal but my attorney seems to think the IC"s attorney has a reputation for wanting to earn his money and will do anything to do it. So I will wait a little longer and keep praying that we are all OK.

Love to all,
CAPSmile

Thanks MJC.....Yes the sleep really made a difference. So did the PT listening to me today.I told him he needed to come up with some other movement that did the same thing but didn't put me in agony. He did. It hurt but was tolerable and I don't have that horrible pain afterwards. My last EMG showed dimished feeling in my tricep. The pain I had recently told me it's back to life. Also having bicipial tendonitis for a long time and tearing it to shreds didn't help. I finally got an answer to the one boob being smaller until after the surgery. Ever since th e injury all of a sudden my left boob became 2-3 inches smaller than my right. Since the surgery they have evened out againBig Grin One of the female PT's who has worked on me said she felt from the pain over the past year that my pec muscle had shrunk and sinc e it rides under the breasts was pulling my boob in. Amazing! how many body parts are affected by our injuries.

Be well my friend,

So right there are lots of body parts affected by a work injury - especially to the shoulder. Like with my shoulder - I didn't expect it to affect ribs 1-5 - yeppers 5 ribs are affected by the work injury. So in my case it's not just the first rib dysfunction but also neuromuscular as well at this time because of the wrong treatment that I got from PT's pushing me to get back to work to quickly.

Glad you finally got some sleep and soooooo happy that you stood up for yourself and told your therapist that they needed to find something that worked for you but didn't leave you in so much pain.

I think I got about 8 hours last night myself - but I know it will soon be back to normal 3-4 hours as the pain levels are rising again ........ but one good night was worth it.

Cap....
"Good things come to good people".....I can finally say I know it is true for you.....KUDOS !!!!!!!
I am joining the group in the "happy dance"........
thanks downandout.......I guess I really won't be thrilled until I know IF the IC will appeal the Judges' decision and if they do what the outcome is. God is never late. He answers our prayers in His way in His time. We all have to believe that, always to survive this WC mess.

Pooh.......See what I mean about PT? IF they don't listen, or we don't have all diagnostic tests done , more damage occurs. I walk in all the time and remind them I have a bad neck and back. I agree. One good night here and there is better than neve rgetting a full night. I seem to sleep well about once a month. UGH! Does not make anything easier. Are you doing PT still? how's the spasms? What's next for you? Didn't do the chicken yet since I didn't have anyRolleyes Time to go food shopping.

I just do PT at home at this time - no other was ordered.

Ortho told me just to come back when ROM got bad since I have good ROM in both shoulders.

Spasms aren't has bad - but that could be because doing PT at home if I start hurting then I can stop and ice or heat until the spasms calm down and then start up again. So it really does help being able to do it at my own pace instead of doing it through PT ....... where you have a time period to do it in ya know.

Some days are better than others - depending on how tired I am and also on how much I do .......... lol

Pooh....I am happy to hear that you are doing it on your own. I find it to be much more humane.Wink I'm only going 2 days a week and the rest of the time doing it on my own everyday. I decided to stop in PT just as I do at home and told the PT so. Yesterday wa so much easier and it helped me to loose my fear of going. Pooh..Where do you get the spasms?
