Hi Greenjob,
I am so sorry to hear about your pain and suffering. Someone will be along shortly to advise you. You are already at the bottom, there is no where to go but up, start climbing, and hang on.
Hi greenjob & welcome to the forum!
I agree 200% with netta! Someone "in the know" will be along soon with an answer to your bankruptcy question (I know zero about it too) but someone on here will know what to do. Since it is the weekend, answers may be slow coming....so hopefully Monday you will be advised what to do.
In the meantime, know that you are in my prayers, along with all the injured people, the pennyless, the ignored, and stressed out there!
Good luck! Lilly

Thank you guys so much I will wait and see tomorrow, I wish a day comes that I put all this behind me God willing!
I had to Endure a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy to Keep My Home during this Battle under the Old Laws. My Attorney took a Small Down Payment, and then I Made Payments to Him to Cover the Rest of the Cost. If Approved for Bankruptcy, and if You are on a Re-Payment Plan, the Attorney Fees will be Added in as Part of Your Debt. I Hope this has Helped, I fought Hard for 4 1/2 Years, and Emerged from My Bankruptcy 6 Mos. Early!! You can do it, just find the Correct Attorney!!
I too had to file, sometimes there just is no other way out other then the lottery or a miracle.... I too did not have the money and needed $1,200 up front. My lawyer told me to simply not pay nothing, I dont know in your situation but 3 weeks I had the money and started the procedure.
I will add that we tried everything to stay afloat and just couldnt hang on anymore. I sold my fame and glory 1967/1969/1974 Early Bronco's. Well kept us going for awhile then we sold our Trees and had property logged. Kept us going a little longer until we faced it and knew we could not replace the incomes that we lost. After the bankruptcy I was like a big load off our shoulders and I got back to work and made enough to get into the house were at now. And then I got injured on the job, wife lost her job staying home taking care of me and we went right back down the tubes.. But once I was able to go back to work (1 year + ) I was able to get wife working there too.. It's been 7 months and were a little a head again.......
Sorry my post was a little long but my point is " hang in there it will get better " once it's behind you..........Bronco
Yes, Iv'e been there too. I'm in Montana and was lucky to have once worked with someone who worked for abused women. She put me in touch with an attorney who lowered his rate way down. It still cost me $500 overall. They took hold of every single thing I was behind on....even electric bill. It gave me a clean slate. I did this after my ex left and I was left without a job and in a foreign country. Then, on the day of the hearing..........I hurt my back and since then, 2007, I've been out of work with doctors all over me. Sort of. I am hoping to get back to a good job once they all sort my back out and get my credit back up there. In the meantime I keep my bills paid as close as possible and I rent out a room in my home to help.
Bankruptsy in the past used to be viewed with disgrace and I felt I was doing something really bad. But after the manditory counciling I felt much better.
