how can you get an impairment rating of 11% if you arent satisfied with decisions of dr.,and does the rating stay with you.iwant to have surgery to get my neck fixed or at least try, herniated c67,compression c34,with loss felling in face and neck.im not going to worry about lower back because it doesnt interfere with job like neck.i have to do alot of looking down and arm movement and that gives me alot of pain in neck ,shoulder ,chest and back. the only reason i feel this took place is because i had such a hard time thinking clearly at the time.any suggestions to what i need to do would be appreciated.thanks

Rhonda53, could you please update your user Profile, and apply the State so we don't have to go back and search all your Post or Threads to find it. Thank you so much...

Now if correct, you been going through this for around 3 years. Since it has been a good lenght of time, there has to be a reason of why surgery has not taken place. Only you would be able to tell us on why.
From what I remember, at on time you did have a surgery on your Cervical Spine at I think C5 - C6. Was this a work comp issue? What was done for or with that surgery?
As for the rating you been given, it sounds like surgery wasn't an option, the doctor might be putting you at MMI, and the insurance is prepaired to settle your case???? Maybe you know the answer...
im sorry i forgot to put state . by the time i remembered i sent post. i did have surgery on c56 in '04,it was on my insurance.the surgery turned out great, thats reason i want to have c67 fixed .i know the situation is different now ,being wc. i just think i should have choice instead of living with the pain, drs word.the pain interferes with everything i do and i feel they should at least try. i let my case nurse go in room with me,which may have been a mistake.all they ever talked about was her husbands surgery. you also have to know i was in a fog for 10 mos and after that i just gave up ,maybe i had the depression,i just dont know. i know now that im ready to fight .ive tried living with the pain but i cant.thanks
disability rating does not end treatment. but in order to get a rating a worker has to be determined to be at Maximum Medical Improvement-- condition not likely to change significantly with current treatment options.
