Hi,
I was assaulted by my boss, then filed a police report, then forced to lift heavy weight to disprove my arm injury, which resulted in a serious back injury, and don't know what to do.
Then got fired. It doesn't seem right, and my boss the one that assaulted me and caused all of this, has assaulted someone else in the pass. And they have kept her employed as the boss.
I don't know what is going to happen to me, and my back is so bad, now that they fired me, how am I going to get treatment.

you file with your state using your police report
contact the police and find a good lawyer.
what a horrible situation. I am so sorry. It doesn't matter that you've been fired , you can still file a WC claim. Due to the situation if I were you I would sit with a good WC attorney.
How horrible Mandy !
File, File, File WC claim ! Boss has a rude awakening....the company is still responsible for your injury care...start to finish!
Get a better than good lawyer too!
Also, what State did this all take place in?
Please keep us updated on how everything transpires....this is just awful!
Welcome to our wonderful site...people here are full of info and experience!

I would need to know the State this take place in?
Then you need to go to court on the day of your bosses trail, you need to sign in as the victom to the crime. You need to also check in with the States Attorney there hearing this case. You might have to appear several times in court before it is over.
I need to know as was the police report just (assault) or was it (assault & battery). You need to advise the States Attorney of the past record with the police to have it brought up in court.
You need to file a work comp claim with your State.
If you need an attorney go to this link for help.

i would crap if you work where i do. im in ohio. a similar situation happened to someone at my employer, not to me, but someone else. did your boss follow you out to the parking lot and stand in front of your car so you could not leave? or maybe this could have been the past incident.
it would be crazy if we are at the same place!!! i know the odds of us being in the same place are low, but the incident is VERY familiar.
