I have a fall during work on December 2007. My company does not want to pay for the bill of $850 because I left the company on August 2008. In fact they dont even pick the phone from the hospital. I receive a letter from the hospital just a couple of weeks ago asking me to pay or they are going to send the bill to a collection agency. This have also happened to two other of my fellow colleagues. I want to file a complaint but I do not know how to do this. If anybody can help me with this issue it will really be apreciated
Hi, Please post your state as workers comp laws are specific for each .
The accident was in Illinois, The company is in Pennsylavania
Did you file a incident report with your employer ? Did your employer file a workers comp claim? have you had a hearing and has the IC accepted the claim ? Have you received bi weekly wage losses from the IC ? Do you have a lawyer ?
if you filed a work comp claim you can notify the hospital and they will send the bill to the workers compensation insurance carrier.
If there was no claim you can still file one.
here a link that'll help you file

If you filed a work comp claim, or even told the hospital it was a work injury, the employer or their work comp insurance has to pay. If you did settle this claim with the employer or their insurance, you will then pay the bill.

You need to apply more information as you can see now.

You can bring a civil court order up to force payment also.
