i need to know i belong to a union and i wonder will they will represent me in a comp claim at work, wc dr said he cannot release me for work until further notice, i have a lawyer looking at my file i wont know until mon if she will take it, or if i just need to go through the union i work in VA

I'm not Sure if 2 Attorney's are Needed, but it wouldn't Hurt to Ask the Union. If Your Union gives You a Referral to an Attorney, and if You haven't Signed with any Yet, You can Choose the Attorney that You feel Most Comfortable with. There is nothing Wrong with Shopping around for the Attorney that You feel will do the Best Job for You! Best of Luck!!Wink

if your choice of attys does not work for you the union may have a law firm that will or they can make recommendations.
you should discuss it with your union steward.
