I got hurt on 4-30-09 on the job lifting a patient in the patients home the wife let go of the 250 pound man as she couldnt bare his wieght anymore and his wieght all went on me, I tell work which we shouldnt of been in this patients home to begin with as the RN in our office said we didnt have a skill there and when you dont have a skill medicare law states they wont pay for care, So here we go I still work for few days cause I think I can handle pain and scared of finacial side of it. Then work sends me finally to Doctor on that next friday, I cant go back becuase of many limitaitons the job can't allow me back as they have no position with those limitations the Doctor wrote up. OK here is the Hell part I get call from IC claim worker and she sounds pretty nice ask me many questions and my work had told her I make 13.00 an hour when I make pay per visit which is much much more in what I would recieve she stated she would contact work and have them send her 15 last paystubs, which I sent to this IC worker as well knowing it meant 100 dollars more income a week i didnt want to mess around so I sent as well ...all you hear is its been sent. Ok here is the bad part I waited 3 weeks to get into PT when I went there they are very limited to what they can do to me as the original Doctor on second visit discharged me and said I had to see a Ortho specialist, So 4 weeks go by I call work I call IC claim person I call PT which was very sweet and even sent letters there self to IC, No Doctor NO monies still as I called the EAO state people that are suppose to help she called and waited like I did for phone call back, what she called me back with was that I was discharged and to return to work four weeks ago I said no I havent whos telling you this she said the IC workers stated a comp nurse went to my Doctors office and stated the Doctor stated I could back full duty, I called my work they said you cant come back without paper from Doctor stateing it, The only reason I recieved a call at all from IC which at that time 2 months later she called cause the state called her SHE IC said get your butt back to work I said well with my pain this should be wonderful and in the midst of all this all Doctor appointments had been canceled via this RN work comp person. Finially last week Doctor office called me back I called them when I heard all this MY Doctor said she must of not heard or wrote what he said as HIS orders were the same as I had NO work unless they could accomidate his limitaitons, ok still today NO check NO ORTHO DOCTOR. I just get a phone call that the nurse made a mistake and I wasnt to go back to work that the Nurse was taking off my case. My IC worker is very mean and when I sent her an email so i wouldnt have to speak to her,She still dont answer I am soon getting evicted from apartment bills have never been behind and I cant return to work because of pain these people dont know if i have fracture or what is wrong but the worst thing is they dont care. Ive never been one for Lawyers and getting one Im sure that will make them mad, what if THERE ortho Doctor says nothing is wrong to and I return to work and do it again, The pain is already bad enough this is the craziest thing I can rememeber in my life going through and I want you all to know I feel for you with every inch of my heart!!!! I am so afraid of getting a Lawyer which is out just for money and getting no one to help me, just getting in the car and going through the process to do something like shopping for grocerys kills the back. Then I have almost used the whole 12 weeks they have here in Florida act for my time off from work because I have been waiting for IC to get me Doctors that are there choice, Anyone have any answers?
Even tho you feel like all attorneys are out for money, I would suggest you get one and get one soon. Not all attorneys are that way. Get on the phone and find one from referals, and interview several untill you find one that you are comfortable with. I have been in this system for 8 years on one claim and 5 years for second claim. I would not have gotten most of the medical treatment that I have received without and attorney. Trust me you can bet they have there attorneys on your case. I have been on both side of the fence as the Employer and now the injured worker. I have dleat with both sides. I would not go this route with my attorney. I was fortunate when I found my attorney, he is also a neighbor of mine. He as been great and contiunes to be great. He has earned every penny that he has been paid. Good luck in getting treatment. A good attorney will make sure you get the treatment you need.

I live in LOUISIANA and would not have gotten the treatment and care that i'm getting if it had not been for a good attorney. the Ins. co and w/c adjuster denied treatment until I got an attorney. after I obtained an attorney they approved all treatment and continue to say that they never denied treatment but the record show delays and termination of payments for scripts and denial of care. A very good attorney will work on your behalf

I went to attorney today I wasnt sure what happen I believe I was in her office 7 minutes she talked so fast I am clueless to what happen she said dont worry I said I have some questions, and had me out her door saying call me if you have questions, and she stated she would call me if she needed anything said she was getting ahold of whomever and she would get checks straight and get Doctor visits ordered and not to talk to WC, I tryed to explain that I had it on my cell phone where WC claim adjuster called and said the RN that was on my case was taken off as she had made a big mistake by telling me I had to go back to work and that the Doctor stated it as well, I told her that the Doctor office called me 4 weeks later to say RN was never told that from the Doctor, and I would recieve checks but they werent the right pay as they were trying to pay from a wage two years ago, and that I felt it was neglect as I have sat her four weeks with NO doctor, The lawyer said I will deal with it all but its not neglect. I don't know I'm tired and cranky and I hate the pills the way they make me feel ..Have you ever just felt to pooped to participate in anything ?

I know it seems like it's the end of the world, but really some have good luck and some just get the shaft dealiing with WC. Hang in there and stick to your guns, keep pestering, keep pushing and dont give up. Did you sign on with this attorney.?... Your health is more inportant then anything else so take care of your self.
And yes those meds for pain will sometimes make you feel that way. I as well did not feel like doing many things while taking some meds. Tried tro shy away from family outings, Always was tired just wanted to sleep the days away. It may be a problem you should bring up with your DR, sooner the better.

Thats just it when I signed she said it was for medical records and to contact WC so I would get right amount of monies as they were trying to pay me from day I started not the last 15 paychecks which i gave her that is 100 dollars more a week or more which is so needed on anyones 66% of income and the other was to get medical attention as when the WC nurse told the WC claim worker i was to go back to work, but no one told me for four weeks that was even said, I called my WC worker for 4 weeks straight and emailed as well and no response thats when I called the state and when WC worker got back ahold of state that is what the state told me was going on ..then I remembered a phone call i recieved during that time from receptionist at doctors office stating WC called and said I was not allowed to see any COMP doctors. Not realizing they meant the Ortho Doctor that had been ordered it took me another week after state called for Doctor who called and said the WC nurse was wrong. and still no checks only a phone call from WC claim stating that I wasnt to return to work and the WC nurse messed up and that she had been taking off my case so it dont happen again that was on my cell phone message tryed to call back last thursday and no answer or call back and thats when i went to see that 7 minute lawyer..I have come to the conclusions its hard to get better when they stress you up.. When I went to this laywer I didnt get any answers i was shoved out door feeling like i didnt accomplish anything ill wait to see her results is all i can do thanks for all the prayers and kindness
