Hi, here in CA..... I have been reading the forum threads and have come across ombudsmen recommendations here and there. Now I always thought an ombudsman was someone in the medical field to help represent the interests of the family of a sick person. But does that term apply to other occupations as well? Are there ombudsmen for many different occupations to help employees/customers deal with the administrative hurdles? Would most major corporations have one?
I believe an ombudsmen is about the same as a union steward. Kind of a middle man to negotiate between two parties.
I just have to say that your avatar is dynamite!
they don't all use the same title but have the same basic job duties.
