Hi all, since I finall finished posting pics from our Florida trip, I figured that I would show y'all my new baby boy Rascal. He'll be 7 weeks old tomorrow and I got him last Friday. I currently keep him confined to the kitchen (easier to clean up), but I take him into the yard on a leash. When the fence is finished I'll be able to let him go out there alone.

His momma is a small framed yellow lab and his daddy is smaller and is an Austrlian shepard, hopefully he won't get to big, lol.

oh hes so cute
A Big Baby, Just look at the size of those paws. LOL
He's is fun to watch, he bounces or hops more than he runs, lol. I'm trying to get him to learn the word "NO", especially when he wants to bite my toes, ankles, pants or what ever he can reach when I go into the kitchen, lol. I know that this is how his brothers and sisters played, but he has to realize that I'm not one of them and he can bite his toys instead.
Thanks for your comments.

Oh, he's adorable Vickie! Thanks so much for sharing him with us Smile
He is so cute, I hope he bring you alot of joy like shadow does us.
awwwwww he's adorable!
Thanks all for your comments. I wanted to get a "small" grown dog, maybe 1 or 2 years old, but when I went and looked at him and his siblings, I melted and got him. He is a joy so far, even with the sharp puppy teeth, lol.

vickie...

What a wonderful companion. My little companion will be 11 next month, but still the joy in my heart. There are many times he still acts like a puppy though.

Just a little hint... when he starts nipping and biting, tell him no like you are doing, but then distract him with one of his toys or a treat. He will learn faster if there is positive reinforcement in something else to do...than just hearing the word no.

Make sure he doesn't start running the house????????
