Post: #10old medical records
Hello all,
It's been a while since I've posted. Most recent update, I'm scheduled for a Sleep Study and Urology consultation this month in order to come to a conclusion on my permanent disability status. Thus far according to the adjuster I have a 20% rating. Then my lawyer will move forward with settlement negotiations.
My question is, I have been trying to obtain medical records from employee health, due to a lumbar injury I sustained almost eight years ago with a different employer.I worked for this employer for 21 years. I need the old records to compare with more recent records. As I'm hoping it will help me to decide on rather or note I should have a Lumbar Spinal Fusion. W/c and my lawyer said that it is non-industrial and should and could not be added to my existing claim, because I did not complain about the lumbar and sciatic pain until after W/c approved my cervical and thoracic injury. The hospital that I worked for several years ago folded in 2005. I called the company to request my employee records and was tod that the records are a 130 pages long and that it would cost 170.00$ for the request. I then asked for the records pertaining to the years that I was injuried and was told that they could not nick and pick through the 130 pages; although I asked for two specific years.
Is there any other recourse? These records are from an employer that I worked for in Pa. at that time. I now for the the past two years reside in Ca.
