I have been on lortab for a year in July, I had multi level disc replacement in my neck done in October of 08. Yes you could ask your Dr, to give you something stronger. My Dr. has been adjusting my dosage to get me ready for my next surgery. I am still in a helluva lot of pain, and two out of three disc's did not fuse.
i too had a fusion that is giving me alot of problems i have major spurring and degenerative disc disease. what should i ask him to give me that will work lortab does nothing now no sense in taking it but i need something?
Blake, that's a Question Best Answered by Your Dr., No One Here knows Your Pain Levels, Reactions to Meds., Allergies to Meds. etc. Asking Us for an Opinion on Pain Meds. is Like Asking a Farmer about Heart Surgery!!! It's not Our Place to try and Out Guess Your Dr., or to Send You to an Appt. with Bad Info.!!
If the 7.5/500mg is not working any more. You may want to ask your dr. for the 10/325mg. It is the next one up. I was taking the 7.5 since 8-05 and had it increased to 10mg two months ago.
I agree with Still in Limbo, you can't ask us what might work for you, as that is up to your doctor and you.
I hope they take of it for you. Medication effects everyone so different.
i went to the dr yesterday and he is keeping me on lortab7.5/500 and he also added buspar . from the research i did it will help with the stress and it also helps with pain i hope this works . its supposed to make the lortab more effective too
Be Very careful with that Medication!! It's Very easy to want the "Euphoric" Felling that gives, causing You to Over Use!! That is not a Med. to Take Lightly, Follow the Directions to the Letter!!
really? i know i follow it just like im supposed too. my dr said that too do you know this from experience or have heard of someone else?
many of us have been given narcs and then the WC just stop all meds and we have to help each other thru the withdrawls......each of us do our best to not use more than we have to to get thru our day...we cowboy up and learn to deal with the pain...most of us ol timers will rate our pain at a 5-7 and that amount of pain on a newby will have them screaming in agony and we go shopping cuz its a good day for us......My suggestion to you if this is gonna be a long term thing is to learn to deal with the pain as much as you can.....and eat popcorn and drink water lots and lots of water or its gonna take a stick of dynomite to take a BM......
