hello everyone i need help, can anyone explain to me why a senior attorney would be viewing my disability claim. i filed 05/07 because of multiple back surgeries and neck surgery only to be denied twice i then wrote a letter to my state congressman who in return wrote a letter to the ssa office i was then told that my claim was being viewed by a senior attorney in hopes to make a decision without going before a ALJ. i'm not quite sure how that works can anyone explain the process to me, and how much longer will that take
Social Security has Attorneys also. Just like you could have one. They are reviewing your medical, and also your disabilty issues and trying to figure out if they made a mistake by a dinial they gave you. When you say how long will this take. No one knows, for if it doesn't go to a hearing it can be quick, but if it goes to a hearing it can be timely.
I agree with BadBoy. They are going to review your claim and there is no possible way to quess at a time frame. Sorry.

Take Care
