Anyone have any ideas what is going on???????? I keep getting bumped from my server every 5 min or so....... I have no problem reconnecting, but wonder What's Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try hitting the reset button on your modem first.
Reset your modem, reboot your computer. If that doesn't work, unplug your modem, wait 15 seconds, plug it back in, turn it on, reboot computer.
If that fails, make a phone call to your provider, they may be having problems in your area.
Try using Internet Explore for a bit and see what happens.
Try logging on here
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.aspx
and see what happens. Then do all your updates.
Thanks guys for your help, Sure wish you were here to help me learn how to operate this thingy.LOL Every thing I do know I have had to learn myself. Reset did not help, so took BBBB suggestion and unpluged and so far it is working.
Of course I have a blank screen ROFLMAO No not really Who said ya can't teach an old dog new tricks??.........
Tuffy.... each time you have an update, the site takes your computer over to update. Then it reboots it. During the time that they are updating, your computer slows until it comes to a complete hault is what I call frozen. then it will just turn it self off. Del disallows the automatic updates. Go in to your computer control and disconnect the automatic updates. This may be your secret. I am not sure. love Red
Well, so much for that thought, I have no problem with my home page etc, but when here I get bumped from my server..........Every time I try to post or switch to a different thread. Strange, I don't have a problem getting back online.

Clear Rate out of Michigan. I have never had a problem , It started yesterday afternoon. So maybe my server, will see what tomarrow brings.
BBBB all my updates are ok. I checked Windows all is updated..
Tuffy this sometimes happens to me.
I have dial-up and if the system is extra busy or experiencing problems I get bumped.
Do you you have a number for your servers tech support?
Maybe BK is right as today it appears to be better,(so far) and yes I also have dial-up......... Thanks everyone for your support.
