Hello Friends,
I guess I am not sure what to do?I was injured again June of 08.I have had these problems since 1993.I am in Ia.Many MRIs all leading to my back is worn out.Last nero said Degeneritive Disc as did the last one 4 years ago.I am on 120mg Avinza everyday and that doesnt take the pain away.I have been off work now almost a year again.DHS says file.Mother says file.I feel I should this time I should. Some days are better than others but I really feel like I couldnt make it a day at a job.I do feel like I need to do something soon.I was told they deny alot the first time? What are they going to look at or what do I need to show them that I am needing SSDI Thanks,Born
Born first and for most have all your med records with you,and all the names addys and phone numbers of all your Doctors have your med list also...you can file on line but I did a face to face interview.....they are gonna want to know about your day what you can do,cant do...and what you need help with...and they do get personal....but the more info they have the better for you......also make sure your Doc knows you are going for SSDI as they will check with him.get with Bummer knees as she knows more about SSDI and there rules and regs than most of us...
Born, the ole saying goes, you won't know anything, till you try. You apply, have copies of all your past and current medical. I say apply at the office of SS. This way, you can supply all your records to them. I even went as far as priting my X-rays, MRI's, and coping those reports. You supply information as medication, what you can and can't do, plus every doctor's name, phone numer, address and Fax number. Then sit back and wait.

That is all you can do to start.
here are a couple links to some information about the SS system
