I have serveral worker comp claims for multiple injuries. My AME hasnt finished creating his report. My last job, I recently quit because it was just getting too much for me. My attorney sent be papers on how to file for sdi a while before and I'm thinking about doing it. The worker comp. case in ca has been trying to resolve for 2 years now. In any event, I remmeber stating to the AME or at the deposition Some goods about the current job, making it seem like I can handle it more then I can. I stated to the doc at the time that 30 lbs seemed to be the most I can handle in a non-repetitive way. All which is true. But I forgot to mention how much my injuries are aggreviated and how hard it is to do the job.
I was trying to be as honest as possible and left out some things.

In any event, question 1 would be if forgetting important info would cause me to not get a just settlement?
And question 2 is would working for 6 months and pushing myself because i didnt want to be homeless, hurt my chances of getting on sdi?
SSDI is not Only Based on Your Workplace Injuries, it's also Based on Your Overall Medical Condition, and Your Age. They will do Their Own Research and Medical Background Checks on Your Overall Health, and Make Their Decision. SSDI and w/c are 2 Separate Entities. I Wish You the Best, and Apply Soon!!Wink
you can't get SDI after you are Permanent & Stationary or are receiving TTD.
I'm a bit Confused 1171, SDI vs. SSDI, is there a Difference? I am Receiving SSDI and TTD in Pa., is SDI the Part I'm Missing? Are the 2 Abbreviations for Different Benefits? Thanks in Advance for Your Clarification!Wink
Limbo:
I made an assumption that ONE+ is in california (AMEs are used there). They also have a non-industrial disability program referred to as State Disability Insurance or SDI.

you could be right and ONE+ is refering to Federal Social Security and not state. If so, I made the wrong assumption but both references seemed to fit california so that's how I answered.
Declaring your state is very important especially for the many who just read and don't post.
Very True about the State, I even put a Thread Up about it Earlier! Thanks for the Info. on SDI in Ca., I didn't want to give the Wrong Info. Well Either Way SDI State or SSDI Federal, Injured One has Both the Answers! Thanks Again!!Wink
