I had an appointment to see an AME, I had to wait a couple months to be seen by him; regardless, He only seen me for about 50 minutes, is that normal? Because I hope he dianoises me right. In the paper they sent me, they said it would take 2 hours. My attorney is the one that handled everything and said that he is a good doctor and was used in the past. Also the medical records are 2 or more years old, but he seemed like he understood what was going on before seeing me. And also my attorney said it would be about 2 months before we know what his accessment is. Oh wells. Just nervous cause I hear online that his accessment determines almost everything. I have multiple claims and injuries so I just thought it would take longer, oh wells. He has 30+ experience and my attorneys the same so maybe I should just trust them.
you started to answer your own question before you finished posting it.
do you have a choice?
you've already had the appointment; there is little you can do now to change things.
worry about what you can change.
I think 50 mins. is reasonable for a AME appointment. The doctors read over your notes and everything before they see you and most of the exam is to examine you and get your statement. So yes I think 50 mins. is great. My IME that the WC IC sent me to was only 10 mins and the judge found them more credible. My Occ. doctor did a 1 1/2 exam and used every instrument the AMA guideline asked him to use for an exam and the judge did not find him credible. Go figure!!!
