I work in Georgia. I broke my arm while at work and have been working full time since the injury occurred. I have only taken days off when I have a doctor's appointment. All of my appointments and prescriptions have been covered by W/C. I have begun the rehab for my arm. Here is where my problem begins and my questions arise. I notified my employer of my appointment which caused me to leave work early. My employer then told me that me given personal time designated by W/C has run out. My questions are as follows.

Who pays for the time I miss while going to appointments, my employer or the W/C insurance?

Also are they suppose to pay for any injury related time off until my W/C claim is closed?
Not sure about your state but in IL they don't pay for time off to go to doctor appt's. And I think most states have a min time off before WC pays for it. Like 3 days off before they pay.
you do.
no.
work comp pays for disability - work restrictions from doctor.
treatment time is leave not disability.
oh okay, I guess my employer was correct in saying they have a certain amount of hours set aside for W/C and I have reached that limit. Thank you for your help.
