My uncle was hurt on the job several months again. His doctor wants him wait 6 months for a 2nd opinion to see if the injuried nerves will heal, before my uncle goes to a neurologist(mis-spelled??) My uncle wants the 2nd opinion now. His lawyer and his doctor are friends and he feels that his lawyer is not doing anything. Does anyone know if he can get a 2nd opinion without the doctor sending him? Will workers comp cover this? Thank you for any help you can offer!!!!!!!

Hello and welcome. Do you have a case worker for your workmans comp? I am from florida and I wanted a second opinion and my case worker from workmans comp finally got me one. The will only pay for one change of docotor or one second opinion. That is what I was told. Maybe someone else on here might be able to help you some more but I would if I were you ask for the second.
