I have a physician who is the original surgeon in my case, he was not the one who gave the rating for the PPD. I want him to also rate me before my hearing. He however does not know how to do this, where can I find the info to give him? I live in Missouri

Thank you very much

not from Mo. either but also wanted to welcome you....
Welcome, That is a good question. I have become friends with my surgeon( He has been into me 7 times) and I asked him about a rating at my last appt.just for curiosity and he said the same thing, "If you could supply me with some guidelines". I'm sure someone on here will inform us.
I can tell you that my surgeon uses that AMA impairment guide, 5th edition. He said that many states use the same one.
Can't be learned from a handout-- a poorly done rating by an inexperienced doc can do more harm then good.
If they want to learn they should contact the comp commission for certified trainers and sign up.
Missouri

I had thought Missouri uses the Cap system for settlements. Meaning each certain body part is only allowed so much money. It's just possible a rating isn't at all then needed.

But then again, we don't even know what was injured, and what is disabling you, or what part of the body is disabling.

Missouri does have a new Law on PPD; (Section 287.190 RSMo)
