You need a second opinion, or go to your primary care doctor and let him know how you feel and he could probably keep you out of work longer. It is also good to go back as soon as you can under certain restrictions. If not, it could end up being chronic pain and sitting home is not good for a person trying to get well. I know your in pain, but ask for some meds and do light duty at your work if possible.
When I was hurt at work I went to plant medical department. Nurses wanted to just use heat on my back twice a shift, and was told to take it easy. No work restrictions. Took a almost a month of this before they would make an appt with the company doctor. After a couple of visits with him doing nothing I spoke with the WC case manager. She said the doctor said it was just a lower back strain and they were not going to do any more with it. To see my own doctor if I wanted it treated. This is what I did and have been getting the treatments I needed. You need to work with WC but you have to remember to get the care you need to get better. If we all left it up to the company to make us better I would hate to think were we would be. Don't get me wrong some companies do care for the employees but most just want to spend as little as possible and move on.
welcome and two buldging disc is not a strain,it is a problem that will get worse over time or could get better with the rite treatment.fpollow the dr`s orders to the letter and becareful in lifting heavy things ask for help so you dont make things worse or blow a disc.

You need to contact an attorney. Oklahoma has recently changed it's workers comp rules regarding the selection of treating physicians. It sounds like you need to seek a second opinion doctor. In Oklahoma hiring an attorney will make that a whole lot easier.
