The issue at hand is the Mylogram.

My medical condition has started going down hill since the begining of this year. It is to the point that I can not focus at school. I adviced the nuero and he sent wanted me to speak with the PM dr. about it. I did and he increased the meds.. ( the previous procedures I have had are in my signature. ) I returned to the nuero and he is now requesting another mylogram. I had one, probably about a year and half to two years ago. Can someone refresh my memory in reference to the mylogram.

The neuro has pretty much told me that there is nothing else that can be done for me and I have come to except that. I guess the other question I have (Still In Limbo), where can it go from here????

I know I use a specific members name. That is becuase he and I share similure conditions. I would like to hear anyones input.

Thank You, and as always, Take Care.
SCS or pain pump.
AQA we also share simular problems and Limbo has been my quide....I refused the pain pump as I am not ready for that...My Doc is doing his leval best to put me in a chair to stop the falling but I know that is a last resort for me as I firmly believe once there I would never get out of it.......Have you tried floating? it has been a Godsend to me...if you dont have a pool try a YMCA or gym that has one and ask to be there when it is near to empty......I just float on my back.......it takes the weight off and redistrubutes it ......the pain relief is tremendous......if you could do this several times a day pain pills are not needed so much.....problem being if you have to travel to far to do this the time in the car ruins it....I have a above ground pool and during apr thru oct float upwards of 6-8 times a day.
AQA, I'm So Sorry I didn't See this Sooner and Answer You, Please Forgive Me! I never Had a Mylogram, only MRI's with and without Contrast, and that has been Sufficient Enough to find My Problems, and any Changes. They May want to do another Mylogram to See if Your Condition has Worsened, and what Steps to Take Next if they can Find a Change in Your Condition. I have only had MRI's when I felt Something New was Wrong with Me, and Every Time I was Right, so when and If I Ask the PM Dr. for another MRI, which I May be doing Soon, They Never Argue, being as I have had a Change Every Time I've Asked. My Friend, I Wish I had Something Good I could Write You, but I wouldn't be a Friend if I didn't Tell You the Truth. If Nothing More can Be done Surgically, there is the Option of Either a Morphine Pump Installed to Help with the Pain, A Spinal Cord Stimulator that Basically Tricks Your Mind into not Feeling the Pain, or a Regimen of Pain and Anti-Inflammatory's Meds. to Make You Comfortable. My Condition has Continued to Deteriorate, My Dr. has Clearly Stated in Big Red Letters on all 3 of my Medical Folders, (Each One Weighs about 10 lbs) "NO SURGERY UNLESS A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION"!! My Scar Tissue doesn't give Me the Option of the Implants, So I'm on the Meds. Regimen, and in the Corner of My Living Room is My Hover Round Power Chair that I have Used at Times, but Soon will be My Only Means of getting Around! I Hope and Pray that Something Comes along to Help You AQA, so far for Me No Luck, but I keep on Researching and Praying for the Day Something New Comes along, My Pain Grows Daily, and the Meds. are starting not to Give Me the Relief I Once Enjoyed!! My Very Best to You, and I'm Sorry this wasn't a Happier Post, but I feel You Deserve the Truth!!Wink

P.S- Sorry, I See that You already have the SCS, I didn't Pay Attention the First Time!!Smile I Am Still Hoping for Treatment For You AQA, Please Keep Us Informed!

Manley, Thanks for Catching the SCS, that does Explain the Mylogram over the MRI!!
Is the reason for the Mylogram maybe because you have a SCS? Your problem is like mine in that mine is L5-S1 area and I have a SCS. Never had a mylogram but have had three MRI's over the last three years. But now that I have the SCS MRI's are a no no for me. Starting to have more problems with sharp pains and I see my doc in tomorrow, so will see what he thinks now. Not sure I would want to have a mylogram done after I read about them. Good luck
