Hi all.
I live in NJ and had to go to the er. because I pulled my back out while I was at work. After being discharged I had $90 in meds I had to get.
The HR. manager at work faxed a copy of my bill to wc.
After about 2 weeks I called them to find out if the money was being sent and was told he dident know why it hasent gone though yet and he would call me back. He dident.
I waited another 2 weeks and called him back and told him that I still did not get the $90 and was told again he would look in to it.
And now for the last 2 weeks all I get is his voise mail and no call back.
What can I do.
I'll assume your employer has a policy with the carrier. Since they pay the premiums they have more clout. have them contact the carrier management with a complaint.
you can also file a complaint with the New Jersey Insurance commissioner.
you can also write to the claims manager or the insurance company president.
Of course you can always take them to the work comp court.

I tend to side with 1171, when i had problems at first I called my employer and they put the presure on them weather its WC or IC. It got the ball rolling and had results.
You should call your adjuster if you do not have a lawyer and find out if you can send the bill there to be paid.
Ok thanx all.
I spoke to a lawyer and he told me to resubmit the bill again through fax and let the wc rep know that I am seeking legal help, wait 2 weeks and if no check he will step in.

So thanx again.
