Hi all...just a quick note to let you all know that I am thinking about you and missing all of you a lot. My days have been very filled and my nights busy. Last night Del, Linda (my friend from Oregon) and I served a 4 course meal to the wedding party and many of Chris' friends who have flewn in from Oregon, Las Vegas, South Carolina, England, and so forth for his wedding. It was a long day, and it has been a long week but so far all is well, and I am ok. today was pizza day for about 20 people, and tomorrow is the wedding.
Yesterday I went to pick up my dress from being altered and they lost my dress. I just walked out in shock. However, that night they found the dress and did the alterations and all is well now. I was rather cool according to my friend who was with me, but that was not how I was feeling. All is well now, however, and my dress is great ... the girls dresses are all done and they are great. Tomorrow is hair and make up salon appointments. The wedding is at 2 pm. the reception is at 5 pm to 11 pm. Pray for me to have strength to get through this whole situation...just long enough to at least do the son and mother dance.
Monday is the last big meal that Del and I have to prepare for. We are spreading a mexican feast. then on tuesday Dawn and her family are leaving for Oregon. We are taking Linda to lunch in NY on Wednesday and to Atlantic City on Thrusday and then to the Amish Country in PA on Friday. She leaves on Sunday of that week.
It has been so good to have my friend here. It is as if we have never been separated. We giggled and giggled last night after all the kids fell asleep (all the cousins -4 granddaughters- had a slumber party at my house last night and camped out on the couches in the living room). It was as if we were back in high school taking about whatever we wanted to talk about. Last night it was about husbands, it use to be about boys...lol. Girls can you relate? LOL.. we had a wonderful time and I am already dreading the fact that she will be leaving soon.
