Seems like alot of people have been busy the last few days. Not much new Threads on here. How was everyone's weekend and Valentines day??? Did anyone go away somewhere?
It just looks like a ghost town on here this weekend...LOL
Hi Sparkey,
I'm checking in, lol. I have been either busy or too tired or sore to get online and stay on for very long lately. I will eventually be on more. We have been getting snow here since about Wed. then it gets up into the 40's and some melts and then we get more the next night. It's beautifull but I tend to not drive in it unless I have to. I hope you are doing well.
Love
Vickie
Took my wife out to OUTBACK Last night. I got drunk off of 2 draft beers! Just 2! I guess it's because I drank the 1st one on an empty stomach--plus the Hydrocodone I had taken earlier!

I know, so don't say it!! Anyway, I had FUN and made a few humdrum customers lighten up and laugh. The poor waitress didn't know what to think--I thanked her and thanked her--I even thanked her for having lovely elbows! Yep, I sure lost my inhibitions due to the drink, but I knew what I was doing....it's just I love to see people's reactions! My wife was mildly embarrassed, but laughed her butt off, too! I had to make my wife the designated driver, of course! Other than that and lotsa of other stuff, I've been sittin' here eatin' pie and listening to U2. Want some pie? YUM-YUM!!

So whatcha you been doing, Sparkey?

I am sure you do. It has been snowing here off and on for about 3 weeks now. It usually cleans up and then here it comes again.

Del and I have been very busy. He is still looking for a job. I am still taking orders and painting quit a bit. The wedding is around the corner, and my grand daughters all got there dresses yesterda. Del and I are taking Alexia and Brianna to the taylor tomorrow to heme etc. Alexia's dress is too low in the back so we are having them make her a crop jacket that will match the bow they are making. The wedding is a black and white wedding so the girls have either a white flowing dress with a black bow or a black dress with a black bow. The dresses are beautiful. I can't wait to show you all pictures of the grand daughters. Dawn and her family will be here on the 24th and then Linda my best friend from school will be here on the 25th. I am so excited to see Linda I am just counting the days. The wedding is going to be a rather large afair and would even be larger if all of my family were coming but only Dawn and her family is coming and my brother and his family. We all have rooms at the large hotel for the night following the reception. The rehersal dinner is on the 26th..then the 27th it is take a rest and visit day, and the whole family is coming here for dinner...well I guess everyone will take a rest and visit but me...whoe is me...smiling.. I will be cooking. Then on Saturday the 28th... it is nail day, and the on the morning of th e1st we are all getting our hair done, and the wedding begins at 2 pm... and the reception at 4:30 pm until 11 pm. What a day this will be.
Del has finished working in the living room and has hung the curtains, and tomorrow he will do the game room. I have been busy cooking for my daughters family the last coupole of days. Del helps me a lot because my hands will not do a lot and I do not have a lot of strength to move pots around etc. I do enjoy cooking for them however. Today I made this 36 home made yeast dinner rolls, 2 9X11 pan lasgna's, 2 9x11 pan chicken enchalatus, 1 9X11 pan taco casserolle, 24 cups of chicken noodle soup, and 12 cups of Broccolli cheese soup, 24 cups of chili, and 24 cups of vegetable beef soup. Tomorrow I will make 2 meat loafs, 2 sweet and sour chicken meals to freeze, 2 pans of spaqueti sauce and meat balls wiht home make egg noodles, and 2 pizza's. I have been experimenting wiht many receipes. I made all my egg noodles for the pasta dishes, and I made all the pizze dough and sauce. I make a home made spaquetti sauce for the meat balls. I was busy today and will be busy tomorrow as well...but then that is that for two weeks...but I still have to make all my stuff for my company. It is fun however, so not complaining. Just talking to much...too late..should go to bed, but can't sleep so I am talking to much to my bestest friends. See ya...love Red
Well glad to see everyone is still alive and well. I had a wonderful Valentines day as my oldest daughter and her friend took us to Boston to a place called Chow Chow City. It is in the china town district. They serve dim sum style. That is where the chinese women walk around with carts with different types of dishes in bamboo covered containers and if you want anything they put it on your table and punch a hole in your bill tab. This is real chinese food the way you would get it in China. Things you have no idea what it is as they have some pretty funky stuff. They even had chicken feet as a dish. I did not have the nerve to eat that as all I thought about was when I had chickens how I use to watch their feet walk all through the cage in dirty places...LOL
We then went into the south end of Boston to a huge bakery. Spinelli's bakery. They are very popular and are known for their canoli's and hugggggggggge cakes. I especially wanted to go because of the canoli's. By the time we left, my stomach was so full that I took a nap all the way back home. It was only 4pm. I hate eatting so much that you cannot move after. The rest of the night I was so stuffed and went to bed early.
Hope everyone had a great day also. Red, we do have snow left from all the storms we have had weeks ago, but nothing new. I heard maybe Wed. it could be snow flurries. Most of the snow is almost melted and have had strange weather where it is 55 degrees one day and then 20 the next. Still have a ways to go before winter is really over.
Sorry that I haven't been on much, but as I posted on the injured workers side of the forum, I found out Thursday that I have a herniated disc that is pushing against my spinal cord at T8-T9. I can't walk for long, I can't sit for long..and even laying in bed after a few hours exacerbates the pain. Although according to everything I have read, resting in bed is supposed to be one of the best things that you can do for it. Even the morphine that I am on for the RSD isn't touching the pain.
I spent most of the weekend in bed..and was able to doze a little here and there. But I probably only got a good 6 hours sleep out of 48 hours. I haven't slept at all since about 5 yesterday afternoon. I am going to call my PM's office here in a bit and see if I can't get in any sooner than this Friday. I'm scared to death of doing anything, as if I move wrong, I could end up paralyzed. And I need to go to Dallas and have my WC Dr fill out paperwork that I need to go onto LTD through Avis.
Sounds as if y'all had a great weekend. I hope your week is just as good.
Angel ^j^
I am also here, Reading , but not writing much, Same old, same old, not much going on. Went to lunch with my 2 sisters and mom yesterday, Had a nice time, Oriental buffet. just wish I could eat more as it was all good.
My old cat is driving me nuts, keeps meowing and running from room to room up on the furnature, I think he has cabin fever.
Remember no mail today, Columbus Day.
Have been trying different things on my puter to try and send photos in e mail with no luck. I will get the job done one of these days LOL
Have been looking for a flight from California to Chicago or Tampa for Vickinat. And talking to her about the Florida trip. Will post more about it as the time draws closer.
Thats all from here on the Il/Wi line. Cold and sunshine, most of the snow is gone, at least for a few days.
Everyone take care and stay warm. Spring is just around the corner............
I've been trying to keep Up with things by being on More, but I had a Pretty Bad Scare Last Weekend. My Daughter Rolled Her Truck, I Mean the Roof was an inch away from the Steering Wheel, and it was Sideways with the Frame bent around a Tree. It was Very Early in the Morning, still Dark, and She was no-where to be Found, and there was Bloody Hand prints on the Passenger Door on the Outside. We couldn't Find Her for over 2 Hours, She went into Shock, Lost Her Cell Phone in the Accident, and Walked over 1 1/2 Miles to a Friends House. His Phone was Broken and He had been Drinking, so He couldn't Drive Her to Our House, or Contact Us. My Poor Girl was in such Shock, (The Truck flipped Bumper in Ground all the Way Flat on the Roof, Flipped onto the Drivers Side and slid with such Force the Frame Hit the Tree, and it Wrapped around it!) she could have Walked to Our House just as Fast as She did to Her Friends House, and She never thought of Calling Us from a Neighbors House by the Friends!! We found Her though, and after taking Her to the Hospital, She only had Many Bumps and Bruises and No Broken Bones!! There is a God, and He/She Wrapped Her in Their Arms and kept Her Safe and from Harms Way! If I were to show You the Truck, You would Swear that there had been a Fatality!!! She's been Off of Work a Week and goes back Tomorrow, and Ellen and I Lost Ten Years of Our Lives!!!
