If you do not have to be out from work with a worker's comp case, you only have to miss work for a doctor's appointment or therapy. do you have to take your own sick or vacation time, or does the company suppose to pay you?
the laws are different for each state but general you have to use your own leave time.

This is in Georgia. (forgot to put in the state, sorry.)

Also most of the time they pay mileage to and from the doctors, pt and some for pharmacy. Make sure you document the mileage as it adds up. I end up with $137.00 a month just going to the doctors once a month , 250 miles round trip.
i am in ga they paid for my time off for dr visits and pt after my first surgery. but i was out for months first so i dont know if its different now.
unfortunately rls doesn't work for your employer and it's still not required by georgia comp law.
Here in CT you can make Dr. appointments on company time.
