Can anyone explain the new laws regarding Carpal Tunnel in Mo
I work at a major grocery chain in MO. I have worked for this company for 24 years. I have had 2 surgeries for carpal tunnel syndrome in the past 2 years. My employer denied my claim, stating that my carpal tunnel was not work related. (I am a cashier) I do have an attorney, and have filed suit. It seems the laws regarding this type of condition have changed, and I am not sure exactly how they have changed. After 2 years, the insurance company decided to offer me a measly amount for a settlement. I flatly refused. It seems to me if they would have just acknowleged the fact that this
was work related to begin with, we would all be in better shape. I would like to hear any other employees stories just to see if they are all the same, or if my company is trying to get away with something.
if it's about the changes in 2005 this may help

Thank you very much. This helps me a lot. I think If I understand this correctly, Now that the company has made an offer of settlement, that they do indeed beleive that my job was a prevailing factor in the cause of carpal tunnel. Is this correct?
