Well enjoying my 70 degree weather here in western OK.

Got good news in the mail today -- from my last SSDI hearing, I was approved. They want to do a review in a year but they are going back to 2005

Now I am not sure how all of this will work - since there will be a WC offset -- and not sure how that works when WC only covered the back and my disability is based on migraines, neuropathy, FMS, DDD OA, TOS, etc.

Also some of you may have already gone through the re-evaluation process -- maybe you can give me some ideas on that has well
Congratualtions Pooh! Smile It's always nice to hear from you. I think of you all the time. Don't have me totally back yet so I'm not real with it.

God bless and be well

congrats great news.
good news pooh ,thank the lord
I wish that someone who had been through the process would come and help me get everything together and apply for SSDI as well as SSI/Medicaid. I haven't the slightest clue where to begin, nor what all I will need in order to start the process. All I know is that going onto LTD (long term disability) isn't going to pay me enough to survive on if I h.ave to pay for Dr's visits out of pocket come the end of the month for my RSD. And trying to pay for the meds out of pocket is just going to be just as much fun..although I have already applied for medicaid this morning.

I am at a total loss..and with the RSD messing with my ability to concentrate..as well as my short term memory.. I play hell trying to remember what I am supposed to do each day without leaving little notes to myself all over the house.

I did pass my psych exam to get an SCS put in (if insurance will approve it) and the psych doc says it is safe for me to have knives and loaded guns in the house. What he didn't say in his report..is if it is safe for me to use them ~LOL~ Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

But happy that things are working out for you Pooh !!!

Angel- get a copy of al medical records as far back as you can, not just your wc records, call SS office to set appointment. Write your self a list of any and all medical doctors you have seen even those that you were sent to see by ic, on your list have name, address, and phone number. After talking with SS take all records to office they will copy and send your copy back. This will make things move faster. Also let your doctors know that you have applied for SS as they will recieve paper work to file that SS will have to have back before they can process the claim.

Hope this helps, if I can help any more just let me know.

I have a question. If you are diagnosed with RSD does that qualify your for your SS/ Medicade? I am curious as it is getting very tough for me to work these days and I do not know how much more I can take. I have all my medical records that I just asked the clinic for and it is a whole year worth of notes from each doctor I saw. I am not sure if that would qualify me to apply if needed. I do pay for LTD through my employer. If I had to leave my work I think I read in one of your posts Angel that you had to terminate your employment if you use this? I am just thinking ahead for the future. I do not know how it works in the state of NH.

My husband and I are in construction and we may be finished with one job in April. I do not know if I can continue to work in that field and do not know what I am going to do if there is no work. We could very well be laid off. I am the one that carries the insurance policy and if I do not work I know hubby could put it in his name, but if he is not working I am thinking I may need Medicade to pay for my medications each month.
