My computer keeps saying in a box ....... An error has occurred in the script on this page. It won't go away no matter what I do.......help me please you very smart people out there...... Love ya for your help
Backache, I have no clue what (in a Box) should mean. Is there anything else you can tell us? Like what web site, and what happens before that comes up...
Backache, I know exactly what you are saying. It is microsofts new updates. Does your computer automatically update or have you updated any microsoft software in the past couple of month. I am getting the same thing. Del is working on it for me also. My computer is actally freezing up and I have to reboot several times a day. Del showed me another way, but I am too dumb to remember the pathway and I have too much pride I guess to tell him I need help again. The other thing that is happening is microsoft's updates and internet explorer do not seem to like each other at least that is happening here. Del is gone, but I will ask him when he gets back about what you should do. Love Red
It's just a box that pops up when I get on the internet and it stays in front of whatever page I'm on. I try to click the X and also no I don't want to continue to run script on this page, but it stays there. I think I'll do what Still told me and get rid of the antivirus thing I put on my computer from Earthlink. It has slowed my computer down so much and I have been having problems since I installed it. I will just go with the free antvirus he told me about. Right now the box thing hasn't appeared yet so I can't tell you exactly what it says.
Bachache ... I also have had this problem. If it's not the updates causing a problem (sometimes they download wrong and cause problems) It could be a virus or just a problem with your cable co.

Red tell Dell I'll love him forever if he helps me with this. Oh what the heck you guys know I'll love the both of you even if he can't help me. I think my computer automatically updates now that I put that antivirus in , but I'll admit I'm a computer idiot.... Bad Boy if that thing pops up again I'll write down everything it says so I can tell you.......
Thanks Cap Hun, I am running the antivirus to see if that's the problem. I hate these people who put these virus out. I heard last year it cost this country billions of dollars because of them. Why the he// don't these people use their time to find the cure for cancer or how to help injured workers instead of destroying our computers. Sorry had to vent......
backache

About a month or two back, I had something like that. An update changed my Brower setting, and allowed Script and Debugging. All I did was go back into Internet Explorer, click tools, then click Advance, and check those settings to see if they have Check Marks on them, if so, click the check mark so it is gone, click apply, then ok to reboot. Then see what happens.

Remember what you do, because then you can always go back in and change it back if you would like too.
Bachache..the other thing you can do is a system restore. Go into your Control panel, look around for system restore and just click on it., It will give you a calendar to click a date on. I usually go back a couple of days before the computer was acting up. This has made it easy and does the trick. Good luck.

Glad you vented....I feel the same way.
backache. I would agree with Bad Boy its just a script error. Like he said just see if the box is checked if it aint just go down to bottom of page and click Restore Defaults. Then close your browser and try it again.
