I'm all done with comp. received my settlement a couple days ago. It was not what I thought it should be. But I just was tired of fighting with them for the past 6 years. It was either take this offer or go to trial. I am out of debt and have some to play with and will save the rest. My new life is starting . Just very glad to have it behind me. If you don't remember I'm from Illinois. Sure nice to have it over. I thought it was weird that they included the medical bills with the total and I have to pay dr from work comp check. Wonder why comp never paid that directly to my doctor. I guess that gave my attorney more. Just happy it is over. Have a good day smoke

Congratulations. I bet its a wonderful feeling to be done with the wc mess. I wonder why you have to pay wc doctor as well? Doesnt seem right to me, but Iam still so lost in all this. I rely to much on my attorney.

CARaven: what they did was added the dr bill to my settlement. Or in other words work comp made the check out for $8500.00 dollars more but I have to pay the dr bill. Not sure why comp just did not pay the dr bill with another check. I wonder if that is more for the attorney. Anyway I'm just glad to have it done. Thanks to everyone. smoke

From one Illinoisen to another, Congrats and way to go. That is a first , you haveing to pay your medical from your check. You may be right about your attorney. I am so glad for you and you no longer have to deal with WC...
Congratulations! I can only imagine the relief it must have been, when you finally got the check and knew that you would not have to mess with them ever again.
