i saw the dr today for my ankle. i knew he said he wanted to take the long screw out that goes through both bones so it didn't break. he decided today that he also wants to take the plate and other screws also. i'm not sure what the healing time is for that. if anyone has any ideas i'd appreciate it.
buildergirl I am not ignoring you...I just dont know the answer
Same here Buidergirl, I truely wish I could make a Prediction for you, but I don't see how.
ok, thanks, i'll have to ask dr when they schedule the surgery.
I am afraid that if anyone here had the exact same procedure, even if they said how long it took them before they went to work. It would be meaningless. Everyone's body heals at different rates and reacts differently to different meds. I believe your drs. oppinion will be the best and I believe he/she will give a time frame with a month in between. Something like 1 to 2 months or 4 to 5 months. The reason for the middle time frame is we all heal differently. I wish you the best.

Take Care
thanks aqa, my surgery is scheduled for feb 2nd. it is outpatient surgery, i'm still not sure on recovery time i'll have to call back tomorrow and ask.
BG, I think it would be up to the Dr that removes the screws, as to when you can go back to work. He will do your follow up care and watch your healing process. Good luck and hope all go's well.
thanks tuffy, i guess i'm just anxious about going back to work because they were laying off. i'll just have to be patient, or try to anyway. i know worrying doesn't help.
Worrying give's ya ulcers, and that you don't need,.......... All will work out. Have faith.
