Here on the Illinois/Wisconsin line we are freezing. -11 as I type with a chill factor of -28. Tonight the temp is to drop to -19 F. Time for a trip to the Islands.......

The whole USA is in a cold spell for a few days.
Even though it's very cold out, I was out in it. Not to bad for me as I do remember working outside for the Railroad years back, and it was -30 below at times with nowhere to hide, no building no nothing. And we would work overtime on those days also.
Please bring your animals in, and dress proper if you go out for even a minute or two.

They say that you can get frostbite within 10 min of exposing uncovered skin to the cold. So you can believe if I have to go out I will be bundled up.

Man, I miss Florida! I once lived on the beach--just a stone's throw away from the Jax Beach Pier. That was back in the 70's. It seems like yesterday yet so long ago!
