Hello All,
I am just wondering where I am right now or what you think is next.
I was Injured on the job 8 months ago Employer said ok to WC.Started Receiving TTD Benifits went to PT Made it worse Nero said no more and time will heal had MRI HAVE 4 discs herniated and 4 facet joints with problems all this time Dr had me on Hydos.Nero said I am not going to get better and not going to get worse this will go on indefinetly.Nero placed me at MMI and put permanent lifting restrictions of no lifting over 12lbs on me.Insurance co quit paying TTD.Attorney sent the letter from nero about the permanent restictions and now I am recieving PPD benifits.I now for the last 3 months have only been seeing a pain specialist I have had 3 epdurils did not help and then he prescibed me 90mg AVINZA a day that does take the edge off finally.I have been on these for 1 1/2 months now and seem to be the only thing that helps.WC insurance is paying for medical and meds($360 for 30)Whats next?Keep getting PPD checks and meds, medical payed for forever or? when will the insurance co.stop paying?Just wanting opinions on what to expect to happen next. Thanks and Happy new year for us all!Born
the disability will stop when the rating runs out.
Well you should get some type of pir rating and if the ic does not agree they will try to stop paying your meds. etc. At least that is what happened to me. They stopped paying all my pain meds and said I did not need any pain meds. or depression meds and claimed I was depressed before my injury. LOL.

You have a lawyer so I am sure he can fight for them to keep paying for your meds. /treatments. Pain management is the best thing you could be in right now. I have exhausted alot of treatments at pm, but it is a good place to be to have them keep you comfortable with meds and think of treatments that will work.

What is Avinza? Is it anything to do with nerve pain?? If so, I should ask for that and try to get relief.
Sparky,Avinza is a one a day time release Morphine. It comes in 30mg,60mg,90mg,120mg. I am on 90mg.It does take the edge off but the pain is still there kind of on the pain scale without is 7-8 with is 4-5.
