I,ve been on ttd w/c for 14 months now still on w/c 881 a week when this payment stops at p/s can i file for unemployment i,ve never been on unemployment but i know 450.00 a week unemployment would be better then 230.00 a week my employer says work is to slow right now i,m on modified status so will i be able to get unemployment?
welcome tod i dont know how ur state works but in my state you have to be unemployed to draw this money, lost ur job, fired so on.but thats my states rules.someone will be along from ur state or knows,so hang in there.you cant double dip meaning getting payed twice.
tod- My understanding is you have to be "ready, willing and able" to work, if your on modified duty, I doubt you will qualify. EDD (Employment Development Department) has a web page, you might be able to find your answers there. Good luck to you
yes you can accept work within your permanent restrictions when you are permanent & stationary and can collect unemployment.
File for unemployement. I believe you fall under one of the special provisions in California for "Partial unemployment". Also, your continued disability payment of $230 per week should increase by 15% because your employer did not offer you a position when you were released P&S with restrictions. Make sure your C/A knows your employer could not accomodate you.
