well my lawyer was in a big hurry to get all my papers to him.they wanted how much i had to pay for insurance and the dr info on the spinal stimulator, they other lawyer asked me if i wanted to do the trial that was refused in march and im like well ya i went through all they stuff they wanted me to so i could get the trail, kind of a silly question.they are working on numbers in a big hurry to try to get this settled before the new year,i dont know why unless they can write it off on taxes, but never the less they are working hard to get rid of me,so got any thought man my lawyer is going after everything he can get his hands on.i bet i will get a call in the next day or so from my lawyer.see ya all later.
Wishing you the best Hurt. The whole WC system is a hurry up and wait. Ther ewere times I thought it was done by my attorney's urgency only to wait 6-7 more months before anything happend. I'm curious. Why is your COBRA payment coming into the mix?

thats a good question i guess he can possibly get that money back for me the way i understand.thats good if he can cause it was very exspensice over 700.00 a maoth.i hope he can get it back.
afraid shes right Bubba,Many times I would get a call ....hurry fax this to me,come I need to talk to you sign this...then nothing and the nothing could be because someone down their chain could be on vacation or sick or just waiting us out.....it wasnt till they got their report back from the courts doc and court was a couple of weeks off that THEY got in a hurry and my lawyer backed off.....there were several offers my lawyer told me about and told me please not to sign that nearly made me lose my mind.......when the offers got hi enough to pay off the farm get my motor home and pay off all the bills with extra I was covered in hives......my lawyer never steered me wrong when he told me to sign,I did......his stip was they came to the court signing with the checks or we wouldnt sign.......they did ,we did and here I am....its a finely balanced waiting game.......the reason mine was so hi was it was a comp and release.....with your problems I dont think I would let them up on the medical....I had my Husbands champus waiting to pick up......altho anything other than maintenance had to wait 2 years which will be up soon.Good luck and hope to see you in the campground soon....
i know my exemployer has alot to do with this as they may my cobra ins go back and pay all the bill they said they wouldnt pay.the ins lady told my wife they were ordered to go back and pay they.i find this interesting that the employer made them do this, guess will see like i said before i think it will be in the hands of the judge in the end any way because with me being totally disabled i can get up to 10 years of front pay and after the ten years i could get another 3 yrs of pay and this is not including my perm loses, mileage, all the copays i made.i made alot of money before this happened and just wages is a huge number.time will tell.
hurt.... it is a hurry up and wait game...mostly behind closed doors between the lawyers I think. Good luck to you ... hopefully this will be over for you with in a few months however,...love Red
Iam curious about Cobra also. I too have started to pay Cobra $707.00 a month. Iam not sure how long I can keep it up, but does anyone know, will I get reimbursed for all the money Ive put out to keep my Cobra?
I do have an attorney, and never thought to ask him this question.
Thanks
In my experience I have never known anyone to be reimbursed for COBRA or any out of pocket health insurance premiums once the IW was terminated. This is just my experience and what I have been told by my atttorney.
In my case I retired the day I signed my settlement papers. Threfore I was an employee through the enitre WC case. It is in my employer;s handbook that they will pay the premium for health insurance for all IW's for a period of 3 years or the person returns to their pre-injury position. My claim was denied. At once point I used all of my sick days and was considered to be on unpaid leave. I then paid $1100 a month for health insurance premiums. Once the Judge decided in my behalf, my employer reimbursed me and started to pay the premiums again. Remember this was CO. Policy in my case. Please post when you know why COBRA is involved. I am really curious and pray you get reimbursed. I just wouldn't put too much hope on it and pray I am wrong.

at this point i am not hoping for anything i can wait what the he** its been threee years.like the post say every state is different and i dont know, but why would my or there lawyer want this info?for one proof i was doing my part in active care for me be get better.well im not going too get better.....but i can tell you my exemployer is playing a part if you look close enough there backing up and doing what the should of been doing all along, you can only make your self look so good weather it them or me,see my point???you must have hope or you have nothing.i can look at many things and see good and bad but i chose to look at things as good and i have friends on the inside and that helps.
Hurt>>>>..I am truly sorry. I didn't mean to discourage you, just give my honest opinion of what I have learned. I am glad you're positive. We need to be. Since I have never heard of this before I will not give my opinion again so as not to divert you. Best of luck and please let us know.
