Workers' Compensation Discussion Forums

I posted recently about the non-profit organization I chair, and about "our" presentation at the United Way allocation hearings to the board of directors for funding request for 2009.

The funding we receive goes to fund programs for children with disabilities. One program, The Emergency Medical Grant Program goes to help children like "Little Michael" whom I posted about on the forum.

I received the letter from United Way by mail yesterday and our organization will receive the full amount of funds requested for 2009.
With the economy as it is to receive the full amount requested really is a big deal!

I had two great board members that presented with me, now we are able to continue to help children with special needs and their families in our area of the state.
